What stays in your app

Saved vehicles, VINs, diagnostic observations, notes, repairs and verification records are stored on your phone, along with Toolbox and appearance preferences. The current app does not have an account or account-based synchronization.

Standalone OBD scans and live readings are held in the scanner screen unless you add a report to a diagnosis. Imported reports can include adapter information and Bluetooth addresses, capture times, protocol, ECU identifiers, queries and raw responses.

When information leaves your phone

Optional online VIN lookup sends the VIN over HTTPS to NHTSA’s vPIC service to retrieve vehicle details. Manual entry is available instead. Local deletion does not retract an earlier request to that service.

VIN barcode and text recognition run on the device. Recognition libraries include Google ML Kit, whose documented diagnostics can include device/app details, installation identifiers and performance or usage information. These flows are separate from your local vehicle history.

Text capture uses a temporary image in app cache. The app attempts cleanup, but interrupted cleanup can leave a temporary file; a separate camera app may handle its own copies.

Removing local records

Settings → Privacy & data → Delete all saved diagnoses removes saved diagnoses, case records and imported reports, including supported legacy history. It keeps Garage vehicles, Toolbox and appearance preferences.

Garage vehicles can be deleted separately. Existing case snapshots are not removed by deleting a Garage vehicle. Android’s Clear storage removes app-local information; Bluetooth pairing, external copies and emails need separate management.

Contacting us

If you email support or privacy, we receive your address and the message or attachments you choose to send through our Namecheap Private Email service. Send only what is needed to explain your request. Deleting records inside the app does not delete email already sent to us.

This pre-launch website

This site stores your chosen light/dark appearance in your browser. Its code contains no advertising, visitor analytics or newsletter signup. Contact links open your email app; the site does not receive or store a contact-form submission.

The hosting service may handle security logs or necessary cookies independently of the site’s code. This is not a claim that browsing generates no technical records.

Before the app is released

App data-handling practices and SDK disclosures will be documented in the complete app privacy policy before release. This overview describes the current implementation.
